VIDEO: Renovations Coming Soon >>

With help from Riverview Health Foundation and its generous donors, we are excited to announce a planned complete renovation of the Acute Rehabilitation Unit at our hospital in Noblesville. Watch the video to learn how you can help.

The acute inpatient rehabilitation unit at Riverview Health enables intensive therapy to begin while you’re still in the hospital. Here, a team of medical rehabilitation professionals work with you and your family to develop an individualized care plan to help you get back to your normal activities as quickly and safely as possible.

This inpatient unit is specifically designed to serve those who have experienced medical, physical or cognitive limitations because of a stroke, brain or spinal cord injury, cancer, neurological disorder or orthopedic condition. We serve people with physical impairment that limits their functional mobility, as well as those who have decreased function and safety awareness.

We’re certified by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) as an Inpatient Rehabilitation Program for Adults, with an additional designation as a Stroke Specialty Program for Adults.

Prior to be admitted into our program, you’ll undergo a thorough evaluation to determine your individual needs. Upon admission, our team will work with you to develop a customized rehabilitation plan that will help you achieve the skills needed to live as independently as possible. The team, led by Dr. Ron Miller, will address your medical, physical, functional and cognitive needs, and work with you and your caregivers on an appropriate discharge plan.

In addition, we offer the following services:

  • Chaplain
  • Intensive physical, occupational and speech therapy
  • Internal medicine and specialist consultation
  • Laboratory and pharmacy
  • Onsite dialysis services
  • Orthotics and prosthetic consultation
  • Physician supervision by a physiatrist
