“I believe each patient is a unique individual and that "one size fits all" solutions are very limited in their effectiveness. I am also a fellow chronic pain patient, having multi-level spine fusion and residual injuries from military service.”

About this provider:

Chronic pain is not just debilitating physically, but also emotionally. Many patients not only suffer the physical consequences of pain, but also from loss of experiences, like missed family events, the inability to do recreational activities or limitations at work. Aaron Nelson, DO, understands the weight chronic pain carries and strives to restore function and get his patients back to the activities they love.

Dr. Nelson is a chronic pain patient himself because of injuries he sustained during his time in the United States Army. This experience has given him a deeper understanding for the challenges his patients face, and he utilizes this knowledge in his practice to provide excellent care in an empathetic environment.

Dr. Nelson attended medical school at Midwestern University and is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology Pain Medicine, and fellowship-trained in interventional pain management. Dr. Nelson says the only thing he loves more than being a doctor is being a dad. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with this family, exercising, reading and woodworking.
