“My practice philosophy is to always make sure my patients feel heard and that they have the ability to make informed decisions about their health. Patient trust is vital part of managing a person’s health. I can be a guide in the best treatment strategies or diagnostic workup, but ultimately, that needs to be implemented by the patient. I have found this philosophy to be the most beneficial in helping patients achieve their health goals.”
About this provider:
I initially thought about practicing pediatrics, but, as I progressed through medical school, I loved managing adult medicine as well. Family medicine gives me the ability see a variety of medical conditions of all ages. It is a privilege to get to be a part of families’ lives from birth to old age and to help them meet their health goals.
I enjoy managing a variety of chronic medical conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity. Because of my osteopathic training, I have a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine and can diagnose and manage a variety of non-surgical conditions and injuries. I am trained in a variety of procedures including joint injections, skin biopsies and more.
I love learning about patients’ backgrounds and working with a variety of people. One thing that makes me unique is that I can adjust my practice style based on how a patient best receives information. For example, some patients just want to know what their next step is, while others want to know a detailed walk-through of their treatment path and all the options available. I enjoy connecting with patients and finding the best way to help them meet their health goals.
I have always been into fitness and athletics growing up. I played soccer throughout high school and moved on to an interest in martial arts, including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai, in college. I am focusing most of my time on powerlifting with the goal of competing. I am married with a young son. Becoming a parent has helped me become a better doctor because I am able to relate to what many new families go through and can provide practical tips as well. Aside from fitness and enjoying time with my family, I like playing chess and grabbing a drink at local breweries.
