About this provider:

Dr. Yakhmi strives to provide timely, quality care to her patients. She truly believes in the adage, "knowledge is power," and that education and discussion are just as important as testing and treatment. Dr. Yakhmi sees patients of all ages––from early childhood through adulthood. A physician and a patient are a team, and all medical decisions should be made together, in discussion, for the best outcomes. Dr. Yakhmi’s philosophy is to really listen to her patient's answer when she asks what brings them to see her. This is exceptionally vital in a specialty where a patient's history is the key to a diagnosis.

Originally from Indianapolis, Dr. Yakhmi was glad to return to her hometown after living across the country for medical school, residency and fellowship. She attended medical school in Toledo, completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics in Houston, and she completed her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology in St. Louis. When not in the clinic, you can find her spending time with her family, reading a good book or traveling.
