Nicholas Alexander, NP

Nicholas Alexander is passionate about family practice, where he builds lasting relationships with patients and addresses a broad spectrum of health issues. His previous experience as a firefighter led him to acute care, but clinical experiences directed him to primary care. Alexander graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University and is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C).

He chose Riverview Health for its supportive culture and personalized care. Alexander’s family medicine services focus on treating anxiety and depression, diabetes management, acute and chronic health management, immunizations, pediatrics, nutrition and weight loss, preventive medicine, wellness and sports physicals.

He manages complex conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and asthma through education and pharmaceuticals, when needed, and performs minor procedures such as sutures and abscess drainage. Alexander is dedicated to addressing mental health issues and enjoys counseling patients about nutrition and weight loss. He believes in collaborating with patients to create personalized treatment plans and always treats them with dignity and respect.

Outside of work, Alexander enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, often engaging in swimming, camping, fishing, biking or playing board games.
