Family Medicine
“I believe I have a unique ability to connect with each individual patient as I take the time to explain their condition, treatment and the rationale for treatment. I work to collaborate with patients to increase their confidence and understanding of their health. I’m also very passionate about helping underserved populations.”
As a former registered nurse, Sarah chose to become a family nurse practitioner so she could empower patients to take control of their health and become better versions of themselves. After working at larger healthcare systems, she chose to practice at Riverview Health to have a better personal connection to peers and patients while still having access to the technology and services of a big network. She believes the provider-patient relationship should be a partnership that focuses on collaboration and communication.
Sarah enjoys caring for patients of all ages and following a patient throughout their life. She is also passionate about providing women’s health services, as well as acute and same-day care. In her free time, Sarah enjoys boating with her husband and two daughters, as well as reading. She also has two furry friends—a cat and a dog.
