Breast Reconstruction with Implant Placement and Contralateral Mastopexy with Augmentation
This is a 76-year-old female who was diagnosed with breast cancer of her right breast, involving her nipple-areolar complex. Following her diagnosis, this patient opted for a right mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. Placement of a tissue expander and acellular dermal matrix was done at the time of her right mastectomy. Upon completion of tissue expansion, she underwent a second-stage breast reconstruction surgery. During this surgery, the tissue expander was replaced with a silicone breast implant. In addition, a mastopexy with augmentation was done to the contralateral side for symmetry.
She is healing very well and is happy with her results thus far.
Implants:
Allergan Natrelle SCF-520 (right breast)
Allergan Natrelle SCF-275 (left breast)
