Breast Augmentation with Implant Replacement

This is a female with history of bilateral mastopexy (breast lift) and saline implant placement in 2010.  She came to our office with concerns of overall appearance, projection, and asymmetry following her previous surgery.  The patient felt that her left breast was larger than her right.  In addition, the patient was unhappy with the lack of upper pole fullness.  During assessment, we also found that this patient had fairly significant animation deformity of her right breast.

We addressed her concerns through implant removal and replacement as well as capsule release of the right breast.  The incision was made along the lateral aspect of her previous scar.  Prior to surgery, she made the informed decision to replace her previous implants with slightly larger saline implants.  The patient had Moderate-Plus 325cc Mentor saline implants placed at the time of her initial augmentation.  During surgery, we discovered that the left implant was filled to 400cc and the implant on her right was only filled to 350cc.  These implants were replaced with High-Profile 425cc Natrelle saline implants.  Due to her native breast being larger on the left, the implants were filled as such: left implant filled to 435cc and right implant filled to 455cc.

This patient is healing very nicely thus far.  She has improved projection and upper pole fullness as well as dramatically improved symmetry overall.
