Welcome to a Better Way to Work

The WorkMed program at Riverview Health offers a full range of occupational medicine services to area businesses. Whether a company’s need is large or small, WorkMed focuses on keeping employees healthy and providing the treatment they need to get back to work quickly, while minimizing worker’s compensation costs and healthcare costs.

We offer businesses a walk-through designed to acquaint WorkMed providers and staff with the facility, the employee’s job requirements and advise the client regarding immediate health and safety concerns. Our primary focus areas include:

Work-Related Injuries

Our WorkMed Occupational Health clinic provides immediate care for those who have been injured on the job and need prompt medical attention. Clients may schedule an appointment or simply walk in for urgent injury care.

Physical Examinations

To insure employees maintain occupational compliance and are ready to starting working, Riverview Health offers:

  • CDL/DOT medical exams

  • Periodic and post-offer physicals

Substance Abuse Testing

  • Breath alcohol testing with Lifeloc equipment
  • DOT compliant drug screens

Diagnostic Services

Comprehensive diagnostic testing is provided at WorkMed Occupational Health locations and onsite at a client’s location, on request. Services include:

Occupational and Industrial Rehabilitation

WorkMed Occupational Health occupational and industrial rehabilitation services are designed to safely return injured employees to the worksite as soon as possible. Rehabilitation services include physical and occupational therapy, work hardening and conditioning, safety risk reduction and injury prevention education and training.

Government Compliance

WorkMed Occupational Health can help businesses remain in compliance with government agencies for health and safety issues. Our team can help develop or revise job descriptions or update your staff regarding OSHA or ADA regulations.

Acute Illness Care

For employees who experience minor illness symptoms such as cough and sinus pain, acute illness care is available at WorkMed Occupational Health. Certified nurse practitioners diagnose, educate and prescribe medications as needed for illnesses.
