We all know exercising is good for you, but did you know it could actually improve your satisfaction at work? Here are a few areas in which exercise has been shown to improve your career well-being.

  • Stress—Research has shown a strong link between exercise and mental health, with a major benefit of an improved ability to handle and manage stress.
  • Self-confidence—Exercise can help you not only look better, but also feel better. Regular physical activity has been shown to boost self-esteem, which in turn has a positive effect on your self-image.
  • Relaxation—Getting out and exercising has a positive effect not only on the amount of sleep you get, but also your quality of sleep, which results in you feeling well-rested.
  • Productivity—Feeling unmotivated? People who take time to exercise are more productive and have increased energy compared to their sedentary peers.
  • Inspiration—Research shows that people who work out together are more likely to stick with it and continue exercising longer. Having a workout partner is a great way to pass the time and keep yourself accountable.
  • Creativity—A heart-pumping session at the gym boosts your creativity for up to two hours after exercising, making it a great way to refresh your mind and body.
