Riverview Hospital was happy to again sponsor the Noblesville Schools Wellness Extravaganza – where families with kids of all ages from all Noblesville schools were encouraged to “run, walk, skip, or jump” to Noblesville High School for this annual event on April 21, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m.
During this two-hour event, families learned about different physical activities (adult and child), sampled healthy snacks, spoke with local community wellness/recreation providers, received summer camp information, had the chance to win door prizes, and lots more! The event was sponsored by Riverview Hospital. Radio Disney broadcasted live from the event and offered a lot of entertainment. All Noblesville Schools (elementary, intermediate and high school) were on site to provide various fitness activities.
Riverview Hospital offered blood pressure screenings, Body Mass Index calculations, health information, and a chance for kids to spin a prize wheel where they would have to show their push up, sit up, or squat skills for a chance to win one of many awesome prizes including free fitness classes through Riverview Rehab & Fitness or a Wii Fit! Riverview dietitians also spoke with kids about making healthy lunch choices.
Other activities offered during this fun-filled event included:
- A scooter triathlon
- Speed stacking/tennis
- Tug of war
- Fitness Monopoly
- A heart challenge course
- Body N Motion
