“My philosophy is to merge caring and empathy with high-quality, informed and empirically based neuropsychological care. Coming to a neuropsychologist can be a scary appointment. I want to demystify the process, tell patients what they can expect, and give comprehensive feedback to patients and family so they can continue to plan for their future.”

Riverview Health

About this provider:

From an early time in school, I was fascinated and interested in the complexity of the brain. I knew I always wanted to work with people, and neuropsychology was the perfect combination of disciplines to keep me intellectually and personally connected to what I found meaningful, interesting and helpful. I chose to practice at Riverview Health to be able to provide individualized and comprehensive neuropsychological treatments to patients and families who are a part of the Riverview Health family.

I primarily provide neuropsychological assessment services. A neuropsychological assessment involves a comprehensive evaluation of cognitive abilities such as attention, memory, language and problem-solving. Such an assessment can help to track outcomes from neurological injuries—such as brain injury, stroke, and tumor—but it can also provide helpful information for patients dealing with a wide range of neurological concerns, including aiding in the differential diagnosis of progressive neurodegenerative diseases versus normal aging.

I believe in meeting each patient where they are. I believe that every patient should know what they are being seen for, what they can expect from the meeting, and what I will be able to do for them at the end of the day. I take pride in providing individualized and attentive care to patients and their families and making sure all their questions are answered to the best of my ability. As a provider in a lesser-known specialty, I work daily to promote awareness of cognitive and mental health and increase access to this specialty while educating patients about their brain health, especially as we age.

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but spent many years in Indianapolis completing graduate school and then moving back after finishing training. I have officially settled and made Indiana my home. When not caring for patients, you can find me on the tennis court or spending time with my wife, Jeni, daughter, Ella, and our dog.
