Bilateral Breast Reconstruction with Implant Placement
This is a 51-year-old female who was diagnosed with breast cancer of her left breast and axilla. Due to the nature of her cancer, she opted for a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. Tissue expanders and acellular dermal matrices were placed at the time of her mastectomy. Following recovery and expansion, this patient underwent a second-stage surgery where bilateral tissue expanders were removed and silicone breast implants were placed.
She is healing very well and is very pleased with her results.
