Centrifuge, and separate plasma from cells within 4 hours of collection. Transfer 1 mL platelet-poor plasma to an ARUP standard transport tube. (Min: 0.5 mL)

CRITICAL FROZEN. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.

Clinical Use

• Screen for alpha-2-antiplasmin deficiency.
• Not a first-line test for diagnosing inherited thrombotic or bleeding disorders.
